Problem with Chapter 5
CC here! It’s been a long time!
So a few people have pointed out to us that there seems to be a misprint in Chapter 5… Unfortunately the last page of the Argent story is missing dialogue.
We are SO SORRY. Unfortunately it’s in all of the books and it’s our fault for sending the wrong file in and at this point there’s really nothing we can do about it. Please forgive us.
This is the first book E’s had to put together all on her own (1-4 I handled the print side of things) so while it’s unfortunate, it’s understandable considering how hard it was for her. School has seriously taken me out of the picture and poor E was pretty much thrown into the thick of things without much assistance.
So please go easy on her (because I am perfect). She’s been juggling a lot recently without much help and again, please accept our deepest apologies for the misprint. :( So, so, so sorry guys.
Lucky for you E takes FOREVER TO GET READY.
Okay so you guys have your website for your comic. But is your opinion about sites like Smackjeeves where you can also upload comics? Would this be a better choice for people just getting into comic making? Is having a domain the better way to go?
Having the domain is ALWAYS going to be the “nicer” choice but I’ve been saying for years now that setting up a webcomic on Smackjeeves is totally fine.
Here’s the thing, if you don’t know how to make a website, Smackjeeves can help you for that. If down the road you decide you need your own domain then you can always move the pages over to that. Hell, you can have a smackjeeves site that mirrors your domain, whatever works for you, all that’s really going to matter is the pages. If your comic is good, no one’s going to care whether or not they read it on its own site or on smackjeeves, all they’re going to care about is when the next page is going up. :)
Hey, guys. We’re about 10 minutes away from jumping in the car for the airport and I decided, what the hell, let’s pull the trigger on this and get it started. So here’s this week’s topic:
SEND ME AN ASK about anything related to starting a webcomic and I’ll pick a few to answer.
I know it’s a pretty general and basic place to start but that’s sort of the point, right? :) I’ll pick a few to answer over the weekend and then next week I’ll give you guys another topic.
Thinking about starting an ask CC weekly segment.
Hey guys, we regularly get asked questions about our process and what it’s like to do webcomics and I’ve been thinking about writing a weekly segment that answers those questions. How many of you are interested in that?
Also, if I did it, I think I’d probably post a subject that’s game for discussion for that week and just answer some of the questions that came in through our ask inbox. Like “What do you guys want to know about printing?” or “What do you guys want to know about planning a webcomic” and stuff along those lines. Would you guys be game for that?
Heads up on updates
Hey guys, we’re going to be realistic an take a step back from double upload month.
Between the 2 rounds of fevered illness I had to deal with in the last month and the ridiculousness of the pages, we’ve had our asses kicked.
So this is what we’re going to do. We’re not entirely cancelling double upload month, we’re just postponing it. NOVEMBER we’re going to try again cause it’ll be post Y Con and I think the crop of pages that should be going up then will be more manageable.
So the next page will be up NEXT WEDNESDAY cause we’re just treating this month like a normal upload month. Again, I’m so sorry guys, we feel like we’ve failed you hard. :( So sorry.
