I feel like you revised Liard's original purpose in the story. In Ch 1 before his appearance it was implied, by Atros even, that he loved Linneus. Yet instead he is revealed to be an abusive jerk who doesn’t seem to have earnest feelings for him at all, and exits from the story rather quickly after serving as a means to show Atros’ protectiveness of Linn. Is this how you always planned to use his character? Was there more intended for Liard’s character and his relationship with Linn?
Liard was never meant to be a main character and has remained pretty close to what he was in the original story. He might love Linneus but that doesn’t mean it’s the fuzzy special true love sort. He wants Linneus for himself, that’s for certain. But he has always been kind of a dick, from the beginning of our planning of the story. Liard was never meant to be Atros’ rival, that role is for Gilder :D
Though Liard is not a big character, he will eventually make another appearance in Teahouse, his role isn’t completely over.

Wooo~ Thanks for answering :DI kind of felt like you meant for Liard to be a romantic rival in the beginning and perhaps changed your mind or something. But I LOVE the direction you’ve gone in. I’m totally Team Gilder, that hot lumberjack <3
